Employee Benefits, Compensation and Information Services
Employee Benefits, Compensation and Information Services is responsible for the records maintenance of all regular (7,000) and temporary (3,000) employees, including compensation changes, address changes, etc. Benefits also:
  • supports Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) needs,
  • administers the teacher relicensure and recertification activities, 
  • tracks and implements lane changes for more than 50% of the workforce, 
  • oversees the functions associated with leave administration, unemployment and Americans with Disabilities claims
  • is responsible for administrating insurance benefits to approximately 7,000 active employees and 2,000 retirees,
  • explains benefit programs through a variety of media, and maintains employee benefit records, and
  • administers the flexible spending account, cafeteria benefits plan, and worker's compensation programs.
