There are changes to the voluntary transfer process as a result of the newly ratified teacher contract.

Under the new process, teachers will no longer be required to submit their name and preferences for transfer on the Human Resource Web Site.  As part of the new process beginning in early March, the Human Resource Department will list classroom vacancies on the HR job openings webpage at the following link http://hr.spps.org/Applicants.html.

Tenured teachers who wish to transfer must submit a cover letter and updated resume for each posted job vacancy for which they wish to apply.  Principals and their site selection team will determine which teachers to interview and make the final selection.  As in prior years, teachers are not guaranteed an interview or transfer.
